    Care & Services

Sweetbay offers all-inclusive care: a private room, three home-cooked meals daily, personal care and ADL support, medication management, 24/7 awake staff, housekeeping, and engaging activities.
Yes — supporting residents with memory care needs is very much in our wheelhouse, and it's a natural part of caring for older adults as they age. Sweetbay is not a Secured Unit under Maryland's definition, so we aren't the right fit for residents who require a locked memory care environment. But for residents living with memory changes who don't need a secured setting, our small 10-resident home, awake 24/7 staff, and individualized care plans are well-suited to provide the structure, familiarity, and attentive support that helps memory care residents thrive. We're happy to talk through your loved one's specific needs during a tour.
With just 10 residents and awake staff around the clock, Sweetbay maintains a small, attentive ratio that allows caregivers to truly know each resident.

    Daily Life

All meals are home-cooked, served family-style at the table. Menus rotate seasonally and we accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
All of our rooms come fully furnished — a meaningful advantage over larger facilities where families often have to furnish a space from scratch. That said, we're happy to swap out our furniture to accommodate pieces a resident already owns, or equipment provided by insurance (a hospital bed, for example). Residents are absolutely encouraged to make the room their own with photos, decorations, and treasured belongings from home.
We love pets and welcome conversations about what's possible. Please ask us about your specific situation when you schedule a tour.

Yes — many residents use long-term care insurance. We're happy to help families navigate documentation.
